Look mum no hands!

Introducing: Jenni Gwiazdowski

We bloody love the London Bike Kitchen run by the second cyclist to feature in our Women's Podium Pants model showcase.

What's your name and where'd you come from?
My name's Jenni Gwiazdowski, I come in peace from California.

Tell us about the London Bike Kitchen...

I started up the London Bike Kitchen in order to synergise my two loves, bikes and teaching.

We are an education space that encourages people to fix their own bikes.

There are drop-in sessions where you can work on a specific issue (always with a mechanic on hand to answer questions), we have classes (Intro to Maintenance, Build Your Own Bike, Wheel Building, and coming soon - Brompton Maintenance), we sell parts and accessories (if you don't see it, we can order it), and also run a Women and Gender-variant (WAG) night twice a month.

We are now doing bike repairs and maintenance for customers.

Our motto is Education, Empowerment, Fun! If it doesn't fall under at least 2 of those categories, we don't do it.

Our next event is WAGfest on Saturday the 28th of November at the DIY Space for London from 1 - 6pm.

Open to all, entry by donation, no one turned away for lack of funds.

Come learn about the Ghosts of Cycling Past/Present/Future, craft bike chains in Katie's Bike workshop, check out our independent bike vendors and bike jumble.

Tell us what you secretly love/hate about London...
