Laurina has only 0.3 - 0.5% caffeine levels compared to the 1.4% typically found in Arabica coffee. It is a naturally processed microlot that is very rich in flavour.
Taste tropical fruits like guava and papaya, sweet peach, and meringue.
Originally discovered in the 18th century, Laurina almost went extinct due to its delicate nature. Caffeine acts as a protection against coffee plant diseases, which is why this varietal is very hard to grow. The Barn's partners, Daterra, researched it for 12 years before featuring this coffee in their annual Masterpieces collection. One of their Laurina lots was used by the 2018 Brewers Cup winner.
We also offer a Columbian Decafinated Espresso from Square Mile, if you want to try something new with a low level of caffiene we'd recommend giving Laurina a try! Read more about Laurina here.
