We will be (a bit) OPEN

We're back in a small way with coffee and bike repairs. From Monday - Friday we'll be doing takeaway coffee and treats from 08:00-15:00. The Bicycle Workshop will be able to fix your bike from 09:00-17:00 at 49 Old St. EC1V 9HX. 

It will be a while before you can come into the cafe so we'll be serving to the street, come and say hello from a safe 2 metre distance. 

The workshop has been operating in a low-key way for the last few weeks but we've decided to increase our capacity a bit. Big Dave has been recalled from furlough (sorry Big Dave, it was good while it lasted) and he and Sam will be available to fix your bike from the basement from 09:00-17:00. We can fix pretty much anything. Fancy Di2 road bikes, Bromptons. Hybrids. Cruisers. Tourers. BMXs. Cargo bikes. If it's got two (sometimes three) wheels we'll get it fixed. Unless it's an electric scooter, sorry we don't do those. 

We can take walk-in jobs but we'd rather you contact us before you come down if you can.

LIVE CYCLING: Le Tour de France

We're screening every stage of Le Tour de France LIVE at 49 Old Street on two big screens (one indoors, one outdoors) from Saturday 29th August - Sunday 20th September. Roll down to cheer on the peloton from a safe distance! We serve Square Mile Coffee, craft on draught and freshly made food is available until 16:30pm.

Diversity In Cycling

Diversity In Cycling was conceived as a collaborative grass roots project to better understand the lack of black and Asian diversity in cycling and particularly in cycling clubs. The project grew through word of mouth, eventually attracting the attention of governing body British Cycling who helped distribute the report to its members and more broadly. We provided the launch event to a pack audience of cyclists of all backgrounds back in June 2019. Please Read, Share and Act on the Diversity in Cycling report.
