Look Mum No Hands!

Flux & D.R. Congo

Double the fun. We're showcasing two new guest espressos from Weanie Beans at 49 Old St & Lmnh Kitchen. Read a quick interview with Jess and discover the beans!

Hey Jess, what have Weanie Beans been up to?
Weanie Beans have been super busy in opening our own coffee shop, Heirloom, on the Beds and Bucks borders, a great cycling destination! Heirloom serves Weanie Beans coffee in all its forms, alongside homemade cakes and a seasonal menu.

Anything exciting coming up in 2017?
Of course =) We are building our blends and constantly on the hunt for new single origins to develop our collection of coffees.

Where else we taste your beans in London?
Pacific Social Club over in Hackney, an awesome cafe in the day and a homestyle Japanese restaurant at night. And Feast in Barnes, a cafe serving up the most delicious healthy food and Weanie Beans coffee and hot chocolate. Romeo Jones, cosy local cafe in Dulwich village. And many more restaurants through out London.

The Guest Espressos

Flux @ Lmnh Kitchen

Flux has arrived! It's Weanie Beans' brand new espresso blend. Named after the changing blends of their various green coffees as they come into season. These Congo-an and Kenyan beans bring bright spiced notes and the Costa Rican soften it with caramel and malt.

45% Congo - Blue Mountain
45% Costa Rica
10% Kenya

D.R. Congo @ 49 Old St

Respect D.R. Congo. This coffee has wonderfully complex flavour notes with spiced honeyed citrus and a smooth body.

Country: Democratic Republic of the Congo
Farm: AMKA Co-op members, Minova district
Varietal: Blue Mountain
Process: Washed
Masl: 1,700 - 2,000

Barista Chris tastes: Spiced tamarillo, blood orange and brown sugar with a bright acidity
