What people are saying
"We have never Tangoed before….. Jenney was patient and a great teacher. We learnt enough to make us hungry to learn more and come again.”
- Kevin & Elizabeth
"This was just wonderful! I must say as a non-dancer that Jenney was absolutely sensitive in her way to make me loose my considers and fears to get moving. It is a very good choice to get the idea of tango and feel comfortable with the first moves you make. Thank you for the inspiration.”
- Oliver & Nina
"Time and money very well spent. The workshop gives you a real understanding of the principles underlying tango, as well as teaching a few moves. You can see how easy tango could become a passion. Jenney is a brilliant teacher.”
Jenney Surelia dances and teaches tango using the idea of ‘connect, communicate and create’ in her workshops as an approach to learning to dance in a couple that makes you adapt, engage and think in the moment. In 2005 she started a taste of tango as a regular class at Pineapple Dance Studios, since then she has taught in London and across Europe. In 2013 she was invited to teach in Italy and set up a tango project for young dancers in Tuscany. Jenney has performed at the Royal Festival Hall, made a BAFTA nominated short, starred in a DJ Shadow video and played her selection of beautiful tango music at milongas and festivals on the continent.
