Tiffany Lam launched her first zine with us Mind the Cycling Gender Gap in May 2018.
Tiffany is back with a second edition: Mind the Cycling Gender Gap #2: Freedom to Ride showcasing women's stories of bicycling and empowerment. The theme is *freedom* -- liberation from the hassles of urban traffic and gender norms. Contributors are from all over the world, including England, Pakistan, the Netherlands, and the US, and talk about issues ranging from aging to pregnancy to fashion to creating a community organisation to the subtle life lessons learned on two wheels.
Issue 2 will be available for sale on the night.
We will also host a short panel with four contributors from the zine and an interactive workshop after.

Marion Sharples is a feminist activist and campaigner. She started cycling in cities in 2011 while living in Berlin and has stuck at it since, while living in Bogota, Brussels and now commutes by bike every day in London. Last year she stepped things up a notch, bought a pretty road bike that she adores, cycled London to Paris, and is now vaguely addicted to triathlons...

Simone Salmon hails from Greenwich and is the founder of Bike Freedom, a cycle workshop that aims to provide different types of cyclists - particularly people on low incomes - access to bikes, bike safety lessons, and bike maintenance lessons. Bike Freedom does not have a permanent base and instead does pop-up events in and around London.

Raphaelle Moor has always loved cycling but only took to her bike in London two years ago. She has a keen interest in the impact of mobility on our health and well-being having lived in some of the world's dirtiest and biggest cities - Bangalore, Jakarta, Bangkok, Kathmandu. She is now a strategy consultant in a digital transformation company working for the public sector.
Tiffany Lam is an urbanist and a feminist who is passionate about inclusive cycling. She has done cycling advocacy in London, New York and Washington, DC and enjoys exploring new cities on two wheels.
