Mountain High, Valley Low is a theatre project about what it’s like to live a fulfilling life with bipolar affective disorder.
Wishbone’s bite-sized show (15 minutes) tells the story of Josie, who decides to manage herself and her illness by taking up long distance cycling. Mountain High, Valley Low blends live pedalling action with an immersive soundtrack by Conor OB.
The shows will run at: 3pm, 4pm, 5pm, 6pm on 28 October.
Paul Murray and Karen Glossop (Wishbone) collaborated with clinicians, careworkers and people affected by bipolar at the South London and Maudsley Trust to create a story about endurance, vulnerability and what might go through your mind on a cycle sportive.
More about bipolar affective disorder.
Wishbone will be touring this short show to London cycling cafes this Autumn, and presenting a full-length show in theatres in Spring/Summer 2016.
If you’re interested in taking part onstage in the full-length show as a Guest Cyclist, get in touch:
