We loved Paxton Fettel’s flawless vinyl-only set at the last Disco Lounge, but when it came to trying to top this for our next party, we realised the bar was pretty high! Turned out the answer was right in front of us - get Paxton back, but insist he debuts his live set for us, and this won’t just the first time a London crowd will have heard this, this is the worldwide debut!
We can’t wait to hear his super-warm, analogue driven deep house tracks tweaked and re-worked live through the specially installed Funktion 1 system.
This 2nd London appearance coincides with his appearance on PLUMAGE04 - another joint EP on Plumage with Norm De Plume sharing the wax with the Danish wonder-kid. Paxton's debut album "Everything Stays The Same" (Greta Cottage Workshop) has been getting a fine reception and his music has won plaudits from the likes of Jimpster, Session Victim, Detroit Swindle and of course his biggest fan in London town Norm De Plume! So if you missed him 1st time round you get a 2nd chance to see and hear this young and talented DJ-producer in the most intimate of settings.
Norm De Plume
Norm De Plume will spin his trademark lo-slung deep & disco-filtered house - expect to hear some Delusions Of Grandeur & Plumage exclusives mixed with plenty of dusty disco from the vaults.
Warming up proceedings will be M/e/r/m/a/i/d/S who've released a steady stream of quality music on labels across the globe, including Young Adults, Foto, Glasgow Underground, A Friend In Need, Editorial and Non Local. 2015 has seen them launch their own label GoodShip Records with the huge 'Night Walkin' EP. Their DJ sets traverse the deep and colourful waters between house and disco, whilst keeping a burning lysergic darkness at their core. Definitely worth entering the lounge early to hear this set, so don't be late!
The Lounge will open at 9:30pm.
Craft beer on tap and a great selection of bottled spirits, beer, ale, cider and wine available.
