Roll down to Old St to experience our latest show, meet the artist Lovatto, and drink a beer at LMNH. We serve Square Mile Coffee Roasters, craft beer on tap, and food until 9pm.
"The First Time" is as the name suggests, the first solo London exhibition of Lovatto, a prestigious Italian-Brazilian artist.
For this exhibition, Lovatto has created 12 unique digital prints which reflect his relation with urban art, both from all his life spent in São Paulo and the idea he had about London before he moved to the city in April of this year.
Friday 1st July from 7 - 9pm
Friday 1st July until September 2016
Graduated in Journalism, the 32 year-old artist has been drawing since his childhood and in 2007 he turned his passion into his profession. Since then, he has contributed to different publications, including renowned magazines, such as GQ and RollingStone, newspapers and websites, beyond the fashion textile industry.
His inspiration comes mainly from the streets. He likes urban types, imperfect and gnarly. Obnoxious, sometimes. He uses the art to provoke and admires names of various artistic movements – from the American underground counterculture to the contemporary graffiti scene.
A biker lover and an amateur cyclist (with a tight heart he sold his Nirve before he moved to London), he uses the exhibition to create an own world. Sometimes, completely surreal and other showing the Surrealism behind the modern (and chaotic) life in big cities.
Look mum no hands!
